We have put together a series of briefing papers for carers to explain the various proposals in the National Care Service Consultation. Please click on the links below to download the briefing papers (will open in a new tab):
We carried out a number of engagement activities during August – October 2021 and heard from carers across Scotland who told us their views about the proposals for a National Care Service. We have included the views, issues, and concerns that carers raised with us to inform our response to the consultation.
You can download and read the full Coalition Response to the National Care Service Consultation.
We have also produced a Summary for Carers – which highlights our key recommendations to the National Care Service consultation.
During the National Care Service consultation, carers and carer organisations told us about their experiences of the current social care system and shared their vision of what the new approach to social care should look like. This was included in our submission to the National Care Service consultation, but we have also summarised this into a short Principles and Key Messages paper for carers.
You can also download and read the consultation response from the National Carer Organisations – which we also contributed to.
The responses to the National Care Service consultation have been analysed and the report can be downloaded from here.
