This will be a hybrid event at Forth Valley College, Stirling and is free to attend for all unpaid carers and organisations that support unpaid carers. Attendees can join in person or online via Zoom.
About this event
The meeting will cover
- Bill Scott, Chair of the Poverty and Inequality Commision will talk about the rising cost of living and how it is having a disproportionate impact on carers and disabled people, leading to greater inequalites
- Glen Nixon from Advice Direct Scotland will provide information on what financial support is available for carers
- There will be information on Carers UK’s Cost of Living Campaign and a discussion on what action needs to be taken for carers in Scotland.
