The health and social care workforce is in crisis, with poor terms and conditions meaning people are leaving the profession and vacancies are not being filled. We will be focussing on what impact this has on carers, who have no choice but to care more, with less support and little or no breaks
Rachel Cackett, Chief Executive of the Coalition of Care Providers will talk about the difficulties providers are facing in recruiting and retaining staff. She will also tell us about their 4 Steps to Fair Work Campaign.
We will hear from a carer about how changing the way they viewed social care has helped them to recruit staff to support their son.
