From 18 April 2022, as laid out in the Scottish Government Testing Transition Plan, the general public will no longer be required to test themselves regularly if they are asymptomatic. However, asymptomatic testing will still be available to some health and social care staff as well as to Unpaid Carers. Any unpaid carer can still access lateral flow device (LFD) tests from 18th April using the usual existing route.
If carers have symptoms, they should ( in line with the the general population) continue to isolate and book a PCR test
An overview of the asymptomatic testing route for health and social care staff from 18th April can be viewed here.
