From April 2024, many of the DWP and Social Security Scotland Payments will increase by 6.7%.

Some of the key changes to disability and carer benefits for 2024/25 include:

Higher rate Increased to £108.55 
Lower rate  Increased to £72.65

CARER’S ALLOWANCE/CARER SUPPORT PAYMENT
Increased to £81.90

CARER’S ALLOWANCE SUPPLEMENT ( paid in June and December) 
Increased to £288.60

YOUNG CARER GRANT
Increased to £383.75

DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE/CHILD DISABILITY PAYMENT
Care Component
Highest rate increased to £108.55 
Middle rate increased to £72.65
Lowest rate increased to £28.70

Mobility Component
Higher rate increased to £75.75
Lower rate increased to £28.70

PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE PAYMENT / ADULT DISABILITY PAYMENT
Daily Living Component
Enhanced rate increased to £108.55
Standard rate increased to £72.65

Mobility Component
Enhanced rate increased to £75.75
Standard rate increased to £28.70

CHILD WINTER HEATING PAYMENT 
Increased to £251.50

WINTER HEATING PAYMENT 
Increased to £58.75
