From April 2025, many of the DWP and Social Security Scotland Payments will increase by 1.7%.

Some of the key changes to disability and carer benefits for 2025/26 include: 


ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE/PENSION AGE DISABILITY PAYMENT
Higher rate increased to £110.40 

Lower rate  increased to £73.90


CARER’S ALLOWANCE/CARER SUPPORT PAYMENT
Increased to £83.30

The earnings limit for Carer Support Payment will also be increased to £196.00 per week (the equivalent of 16 hours at the new National Living Wage)


CARER’S ALLOWANCE SUPPLEMENT ( paid in June and December) 
Increased to £293.50


YOUNG CARER GRANT
Increased to £390.25


DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE/CHILD DISABILITY PAYMENT
Care Component
Highest rate increased to £110.40

Middle rate increased to £73.90
Lowest rate increased to £29.20

Mobility Component
Higher rate increased to £77.05

Lower rate increased to £29.20


PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE PAYMENT / ADULT DISABILITY PAYMENT
Daily Living Component
Enhanced rate increased to £110.40

Standard rate increased to £73.90

Mobility Component
Enhanced rate increased to £77.05

Standard rate increased to £29.20


CHILD WINTER HEATING PAYMENT 
Increased to £255.80


WINTER HEATING PAYMENT 
Increased to £59.75
