Disability Related Expenditure

Social Care Charges are increasing across Scotland, leaving disabled people and unpaid carers struggling to pay and in some cases deciding to go without support.

Lynn Pornaro, Chief Executive of Disability Equality Scotland will talk us through how charging for social care services works and the Disability Related Expenditure that local authorities should be taking into account when deciding what people can afford to pay.

We look forward to the time when the Scottish Government fulfils their commitment to end social care charging, in the meantime this session will provide people with the information to advocate for a reduction in their current charge.
